Friday forecast: Air quality is still a concern

PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality extended the Ozone High Pollution Advisory for the Phoenix area through Friday, so it’s best to stay indoors if your respiratory system is compromised and limit the use of gasoline-powered machinery.

Phoenix will see sunny skies with a high of 101 degrees; well above our average of 88 for this day of the year. Afternoon breezes will start at 5 mph. At night it will be clear, with a low of 71 degrees. Winds will range from 5 to 10 mph until midnight.

Flagstaff will be sunny Friday, with a high of 72 degrees. 5 to 10 mph southwest winds will turn into 15 to 20 mph later in the afternoon. The low will be 42 degrees.

It will be pretty sunny in Yuma. The high is 100 degrees and the low is 67 degrees for the day. Light winds will be present throughout the day.
