BUCKEYE – The Buckeye Elementary School District has opened a second preschool to accommodate growth in the West Valley.
“There’s not a lot of choices for families in the West Valley for preschool programs,” preschool director Brittany Tarango said. “We thought by opening a couple of classrooms that we’d really meet the needs of the community.”
Lucia Guerra, whose two children are enrolled in the Buckeye school district, said the preschool is convenient.
“It’s closer to work, closer to home,” Guerra said. “Now that there’s two campuses, it’s just really going to work out for a lot of families here.”
Teacher Monica Shook said the preschool is special because teachers get to connect with their students as well as their parents.
“I love giving the children that come see us the foundation to go to kindergarten,” Shook said.
